Legend has been special from the very beginning—he had that IT factor the first time I laid eyes on him as a foal. I originally planned to sell him, but after he poked his knee he stayed here, and I couldn’t be happier that things worked out the way they did. Through all the vet visits, X-rays, and doctoring, he never changed—always quiet, kind, and willing to please. Thankfully, he was never lame, and after a clean pre-training exam he was given the all-clear to start.
Legend went off to school and continued to impress, earning checks in reined cowhorse and ranch versatility before coming back home to continue his career here as a sire. He has been an absolute joy, and I’m beyond excited to step into the show pen with him myself this year. Taking the leap to have my first homebred trained and shown has been incredibly rewarding, and I couldn’t be more proud of this exceptional young stallion. With his pedigree—by James and out of All Reddy Driftwood (Woody)—he truly has everything it takes to be something special. 💖
